COVID Coping Week 10

How SaskWatch members are feeling about COVID-19

In our continued curiosity of knowing how SaskWatch members are holding up with COVID-19, here’s what they told us in week ten (May 26 to 28)…

We surveyed 400 Saskatchewan residents on our consumer panel, SaskWatch Research®, each week.

The word cloud below shows how people are feeling in week ten – in a single word:

Self-reported mental health remains steady, with two thirds describing themselves as happy:

Stress levels due to COVID-19 remain at an all-time low. Outlook for the weeks ahead remain positive:

Concern about both the virus and the economy hold steady:

Comfort participating in most activities holds steady. New data this week shows very few are comfortable travelling internationally:

Among parents with school-aged children at home, effectiveness of E-learning varies widely. One half describe it as “effective” while four in ten do not or have given up trying. Nearly one in ten did not pursue the non-required education through the school system.

Saskatchewan residents’ summer travel plans are very moderate at the moment. Three in ten do not plan on doing much, and a similar proportion plan to stick close to home. Few plan to travel elsewhere in Canada, with almost none intending to travel out of country:

Since March 23, 2020, we started sharing a few brief insights from our online community, SaskWatch Research®. As we monitor and trend the results by week, we will share the information with you as we get it.
